Muto

Link to video.

In class we watched the first part of the animation Muto by Blu, but I watched the whole thing and it was so hypnotizing. I loved the way the paintings on the wall interacted with certain objects in the real world, pushing them around or even eating them and then the relevant sound effect playing to make it seem like it was really happening. I wonder what the walls looked like after they were done filming since in each frame you could still see the outline of the last frame just painted over in white. I also wonder whether it was all filmed in one day because I could only imagine how long I would take to draw just one figure never mind the thousands it must have taken.
