Venice Beach Murals

Over the past week, I went home to Southern California to enjoy Thanksgiving with my family. While I was there, I made a trip to Venice Beach and noticed dozens of murals in the area. I appreciated how some were instantly recognizable, others less so, but all demonstrated a clear use of time, energy, and artistic vision. I have never tried painting a mural before but I can see how the large scale of a mural has its definite challenges. Overall, I was inspired by the art form, and while I may never have an opportunity to try it, I will always have admiration for it.
