At one of my favorite malls back home, I noticed a new installation by Lara Schnitger that was made with sequin fabric. It is very similar to the sequin installation in Philadelphia’s Fashion District; however Schnitger actually started off the work with her own piece about environmental conservation. She added imagery of Greta Thurnberg, various animals, and many inspirational quotes. I thought this piece was very interesting because admirers could add to the art piece itself and make it part of their own too.
