Tibetan Book Covers

This article highlights a first-of-its-kind exhibition at the Crow Museum of Asian Art in 2016 on Tibetan book covers. Books play a special role in Tibetan Buddhism as the Buddha is believed to live inside them, so the covers are extremely important. The covers themselves were very detailed with carvings, painting, gildings, and more. The exhibit is very interesting, and it was curated by Dr. Kathryn Selig Brown, my mom.
