“Twenty Skies” is an art work by Alex Hyner. I came to know this artwork through a random algorithm recommendations from the Instagram. However the colors and repetitive lines were the aspects that captured my attentions as I scrolled through random posts. The lines dividing vibrant true colors of the sky inspired me to use repetitive thin lines to interconnect each other as I worked on my Field Recording Gestalt assignment. The declining lines also made a sense of movement down the print, capturing my focus as I explored the print. Simplicity of black white patterns are an effective way of expressing one’s feeling, but I hope to use vivid colors like Alex Hyner to link together the world of reality to fantasy using abstract designs.
