This past weekend I stumbled upon a TikTok where the creator used just a marker and paper to create very realistic looking overlapping strips. I thought the technique was extremely interesting because where two parallel lines slightly overlapped, the color was slightly more opaque which created additional depth. On top of that, the starting and ending points of the lines were more opaque due to the added force that comes with the motion. I ended up watching multiple videos from this creator (@paperandmarkersofficial) and enjoyed the simplicity of their materials (just a paper and a couple markers) that ended up with a great 3D effect.
