I Still Face You by Nijdeka Akunyili Crosby

A piece that I cam across and loved this week was called I Still Face you by Nijdeka Akunyili Crosby. I actually plan to buy a copy for my mom to hang up in her office, since I think she’ll love it. Nijdeka is a Nigerian artist who uses a combination of paintings and graphic designs to create really vivid artwork that speaks to both her Nigerian and American cultural backgrounds. As a Nigerian American myself I really appreciated the ways that her artwork combines different parts of our culture, including the prints, patterns, and colors in traditional clothing and home design, with the architecture and scenery that we see in the U.S.
