I came across an artist, Caroline Walker, that I thought did really cool work. Most of her paintings are of mundane moments, of women working, or of women in their homes. Yet I found her paintings really beautiful. There is also something extremely moving about how her works bring these mundane moments to life. When looking at her paintings, I felt like I was looking into an intimate part of someone’s life. It was like her paintings were reminding me of the invisible heroines and working women who don’t often get acknowledge but hold our businesses, workplaces, and households together.
