Artemisia Gentileschi is a painter from the 17th-century. She was sexually assaulted when she was young, and through her art, she expresses pain and suffering. I wonder how people around viewed her since female painters in the 17th-century were not common. Gentileschi’s demonstration of suffering and pain makes me curious about what that would look as gestalt art.
