For this post, I got inspiration from the in-class example of “YOWIE” – a home goods store based out of Philadelphia. The way YOWIE uses product placement in their marketing materials really does create a piece of art. This coincides with the way that Glossier is transforming the flagship store scene with incredible interior design and product placement worthy of an exhibition. This article explores the designer’s vision when creating the Seattle location, highlighting the minimalist and sleek architecture that provides the customer an immersive experience. Interior design is, indeed, the final masterpiece of item placement in any given space. As a marketing major, it is very interesting to see how art continues to transform the consumer goods industry. Highly recommend checking out Glossier!
