Are Infographics the New Zine?

While this infographic is specifically about the GreenHouse Gas Effect, I wanted to discuss infographics as a whole as well. In this newer age, I’ve noticed that infographics share a close proximity to what zines functioned as a few decades ago. One of the purposes of zines was to make information digestible, accessible, and distributable. Infographics possess the same characteristics and its accessibility is causing information to be more widespread on social media.

In regards to symbols, I also noticed that if the circle representing the sun was just by itself, as a viewer, we would not be able to realize that it is a sun. However, the Earth and the rays suggest that it is a sun. It shows how simple you can make certain elements as long as you maintain the correct context.
